Short-Term Running Goals:

Get the hip issues sorted out. Almost there, the hip flexors get tired easily again, but we are getting there.

New goal is to continue to train during the winter, up my mileage and do some weight training and yoga. Decided to make my spring focus on a half marathon and wait until fall 2009 for the full. Focus more on healthy eating as well, the whole family deserves it.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Second marathon sometime in the fall.

Train through the winter for as spring half marathon.

Someday BQ.

Personal:

I was going to wait to post until I had a good running week under my belt. But I think I need to put this out here to get me to commit. I'm ready to get back to running. I haven't run a step since mid December :(. I'm going through a lot of personal stuff right now and have struggled just to get the bare minimum done. I'm ready to start back to running, I think I'll just run 3 days a week for the month of march and then go from there.

Obviously a spring marathon is out of the question, but I'm hoping for fall and some other races sprinkled throughout the year.

 Here we go again....

You thinking about doing St. George again?

Yep, I'm hoping to get in again this year. I have to run it again, hopefully without the rain this time ;)

Good luck with the lottery and with your other goals as well.

Hello Meadow! I knew we'd see you back when you were ready. Good luck getting back to your runs. Be gentle with yourself. :)

3 miles in 35:55, much faster than I expected since I haven't run in so long. My knees were a little mad at me, but overall it was a great run :D.

I officially missed running and am glad I got to go outside today, it was gorgeous!

Oh man, what a very long couple of weeks it has been. I ended up with bronchitis, which I'm still dealing with 2 weeks later, a migraine, and a cold. I haven't been a happy camper lately, and now my house is a sty so it's not happy either :P.

I had hoped to run 3 miles today but ended up cutting it short, still pretty weak and tired, I guess it's to be expected as I've lost 5 pounds in the last week. But I'm eating and feeling better so hopefully this is the end of the icky stuff.

Just had a fantastic run, I'm sure it was mostly the weather, it was gorgeous out :).

3.1 miles in 37:07, had to walk a stomach cramp off a little bit or it would have been faster. I think I ran it a little dehydrated. I also think it's time to retire my blue Asics, my arches are a little sore and they have about 450 miles on them. Hopefully we can squeeze it out of the budget soon.

Got new shoes today and took my 17 year old cousin out with her new shoes. She found out that she over pronates so she could only handle going a mile in the new shoes. I want to try going out again this evening while the weather is good, we'll see.

The first 1.5 miles was torture, I had to play lots of mind games to keep myself going. I finally got into a groove and the rest of the run was awesome. I really hate the treadmill though :P, boring!

It was great to get a little bit longer of a run in, I'm hoping to get at least 5 miles on Saturday, we'll see.

I had a great run today, I love running outside!! I'm going to go again tomorrow since the weather is supposed to be nice still. I gotta get out of this running twice a week funk I'm in.

4 miles in 45:45 with the last mile being the fastest, it was awesome. I even had a guy yell "woot woo" at me, haha.

This week has been very long and stressful, I'm happy that I was able to get a run in today. I'm hoping to get another one in tomorrow.

3.5 miles in 41:32, a bit of a breeze out and it was nice and warm :)
