Short-Term Running Goals:

Get the hip issues sorted out. Almost there, the hip flexors get tired easily again, but we are getting there.

New goal is to continue to train during the winter, up my mileage and do some weight training and yoga. Decided to make my spring focus on a half marathon and wait until fall 2009 for the full. Focus more on healthy eating as well, the whole family deserves it.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Second marathon sometime in the fall.

Train through the winter for as spring half marathon.

Someday BQ.

I was going to wait to post until I had a good running week under my belt. But I think I need to put this out here to get me to commit. I'm ready to get back to running. I haven't run a step since mid December :(. I'm going through a lot of personal stuff right now and have struggled just to get the bare minimum done. I'm ready to start back to running, I think I'll just run 3 days a week for the month of march and then go from there.

Obviously a spring marathon is out of the question, but I'm hoping for fall and some other races sprinkled throughout the year.

 Here we go again....

3 miles in 35:55, much faster than I expected since I haven't run in so long. My knees were a little mad at me, but overall it was a great run :D.

I officially missed running and am glad I got to go outside today, it was gorgeous!

Oh man, what a very long couple of weeks it has been. I ended up with bronchitis, which I'm still dealing with 2 weeks later, a migraine, and a cold. I haven't been a happy camper lately, and now my house is a sty so it's not happy either :P.

I had hoped to run 3 miles today but ended up cutting it short, still pretty weak and tired, I guess it's to be expected as I've lost 5 pounds in the last week. But I'm eating and feeling better so hopefully this is the end of the icky stuff.
